Common questions

Which files can Talefold open? EPUB ebooks, PDFs, and comics in CBZ and CBR. DRM-protected books from other stores can't be opened.

How do I add my own books? Open the file in Files, Mail or Safari, tap Share, and choose Talefold. You can also import from inside the Library.

How do I make Talefold read aloud? Open a book and tap Listen. Talefold reads with your device's built-in voice and highlights each line. It keeps reading when the screen is locked, and you can control it from Now Playing.

Why don't my books show on my other device? Check that you're signed in to the same Apple Account on both, and that iCloud is on for Talefold in Settings › your name › iCloud. Large books can take a few minutes to arrive.

How do I sign or mark up a PDF? Open the PDF and choose Mark Up or Sign from the toolbar. The Desk is free. On the iPhone Duo, fold it into a stand to sign on the lower screen like a desk.

Does Talefold work on any iPhone? Yes, on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 27.1 or later. On the iPhone Duo, open it like a book for a two-page spread, or half-fold it into a stand to listen hands-free.

Do I need an account? No. Talefold has no sign-in.
